According to recent reports, Pep Guardiola and Manchester City have been linked with a surprise move for a non-league striker. Going by the name of Kyle Hudlin, the 21-year old stands at six foot nine inches and plays for Solihull Moors in the fifth tier of English football.
He is said to be the tallest outfield player in Britain and has attracted interest not only from City but also from Championship teams Cardiff and Middlesborough.

It is no secret that City are in the market to look for a striker, having being linked heavily with not only Harry Kane but also Erling Haaland, Robert Lewandowski, Cristiano Ronaldo and even Joao Felix.
Though it is still yet to be known whether this is just mere interest from the club or if this will actually materialise in a bid, it is still very unexpected. As you don’t expect the champions of England to go scouting in the lower leagues of the footballing pyramid.
According to the report, Manchester City scouts first watched videos of the striker and then went to watch him in-person during Moors’ pre-season friendly versus Notts County on Saturday, which ended 2-2.
It is said that the Sky Blues want to add young domestic players to their ranks and then send them out for a loan to aid their development. Hudlin fits this description perfectly.
Even though Pep Guardiola has spent 100 million Pounds to sign Jack Grealish from Aston Villa earlier this month, most of Manchester City’s recent signings have been under-23 players who have been bought to try and build a team for the future.
These include players like Kayky, Kluiverth Aguilar and Dario Sarmiento who have all been signed from the continent of South America to try and improve City’s youth academy.
With a lot of people calling Kyle Hudlin the next Jamie Vardy, do you think it is a good move for City to sign him?
