Chelsea enter the race for Manchester City transfer target

According to recent reports from the Express, London outfit Chelsea have joined Manchester City in their pursuit of Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish.
Pep Guardiola is set to make Grealish the first British player ever to be bought for a transfer fee of more than 100 million Euros, but this task may become even more difficult if Chelsea were to enter the race.

According to the report, Thomas Tuchel sees Grealish as an integral part of the squad he wishes to put together for the upcoming season. But with Chelsea already having an abundance of players like Mason Mount, Kai Havertz, Hakeem Ziyech, in similar positions as Grealish it is hard to see where exactly is it that he will fit in.
Chelsea are also linked with a move for Erling Haaland, another player Pep Guardiola wanted at the Etihad. It is unclear how Chelsea will be able to make a move for Jack Grealish if they decide to pursue Haaland, whose fee is also upwards of 100 million euros.
However, it seems that Jack Grealish’s preferred destination is Manchester City as he is rumored to have already agreed personal terms with them.
Aston Villa are reluctant to let their captain leave this season and are rumored to be offering him a new contract with wages around 200 thousand Euros per week.
But it is Grealish’s dream to play in the Champions League and that dream may not get fulfilled if the English international was to remain at Villa Park. This makes Manchester City and Chelsea, the two finalists of the Champions League last season, perfect destinations for him.
Who do you think will win in a bidding battle for Jack Grealish? Will it be Manchester City or Chelsea?
Or do you think Dean Smith and Aston Villa will be able to hold on to their captain for another season?
Let us know.
