English star waiting for Manchester City approach
Manchester City have been linked heavily with Harry Kane. The English striker though did not submit an official transfer request, has expressed his desire to leave Tottenham Hotspur in search of silverware and City have been considered as the forerunners to sign him.
The Premier League champions however are aware of the possibility of not being able to sign their man this summer with Tottenham insisting on sticking with their colossal £150 million valuation of the striker.

Having said that, City are ready to look past Harry Kane after having been linked with the 27-year-old in the winter window as well.
Danny Ings is one of the prominent names that has been linked with a move to Manchester City following an impressive stint at Southampton FC. Ings, 28, may not be the world-class finisher but he gets the job done. The English striker has netted 41 goals for the Saints across three seasons, with 22 of them coming in the 2019-20 season.
Ings is certainly a very cheap option when compared to the likes of Erling Haaland and Harry Kane and could be one of the bargain deals of the summer if City do decide to go for him.
Talksport understands that Ings is waiting for an approach from the two clubs in Manchester but neither City nor United have approached Southampton regarding the possibility of a transfer.
Southampton want to keep their main man but understand that they will need to sell him this summer in case he decides against an extension, with only one year left in his current contract. The Saints will be forced to let Ings leave for free at the end of the next term if they are unable to sell him this summer.
The Saints are looking to tie down the 28-year-old to a new contract, one that would make him the highest-paid player in the club’s history but so far, he has rejected the proposals made by Southampton as he looks to take on European football.
Ings has also been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur with Nuno Espirito Santo looking to pair him with Harry Kane.
