According to recent reports from the Telegraph, West Ham are interested in signing Manchester City’s midfielder Yangel Herrera.
City are looking to get rid of the deadwood in order to fund the transfers of Harry Kane and Jack Grealish. Yangle Herrera seems to be the next casualty on this list.

If selling deadwood can bring in enough funds for Pep Guardiola, Manchester City won’t be forced to sell some of their senior players. Players like Raheem Sterling are expected to make a move away from the club as the Cityzens try to fund an estimated 215 million pound transfer sum for the English duo.
Jack Harrison has already been sold to Leeds United, while Lukas Nmceha has completed a move to VfL Wolfsburg. Angelino has also confirmed a move to RB Leipzig.
City are also looking to loan a bunch of young players to open up the wage budget for the summer signings.
Yangel Herrera signed for City in 2017 but failed to make a single first-team appearance for the Cityzens.
He was loaned out to Granda in 2020/21, where he enjoyed an impressive season. He helped the Spanish minnows reach the Europa League Quarterfinals. Despite his impressive showing, the Venezuelan has been told that he does not have a future at the Etihad.
His brilliant season in Spain did however attract the attention of many other clubs. Many La Liga clubs are interested in the midfielder, while West Ham, Southampton, Leeds United and Crystal Palace from the premier league want to bring him to their club. West Ham however seems to be in the lead for the box-to-box midfielder.
Herrera is expected to play a backup role to Declan Rice, a player Pep Guardiola is monitoring very keenly.
Do you think Yangel Herrera should have been given a chance to prove this metal at the club or do you think his treatment was fair?
