More from Man City Transfer Rumors

Real Madrid have been interested in Raheem Sterling for a long time, but the interest died down and a move for him looked unlikely. But the interest seems to have been revived recently after a move for French forward Kylian Mbappe looks unlikely.

With Carlo Ancelotti rejoining the club he left back in 2015, he wants to bring Raheem to the Santiago Bernabeu. The manager is a big fan of the 26-year old and with Eden Hazard failing to perform and Gareth Bale reaching the twilight of his career, he wants the Englishman to lead their attack with Benzema.

Another reason for their revival in Sterling is his brilliant form in the ongoing Euros. He has been leading the attack for England, scoring 3 and assisting 1 in 521 minutes played. We have seen this often, where a player who performs brilliantly in an international tournament is quickly linked with a big-money move.

Raheem Sterling has been linked with a move away from Manchester City this season after he lost his starting spot in the team and has not been getting enough game time at the Etihad. Barcelona are also linked with the Englishman and Madrid will face very stiff competition when it comes to signing the forward.

Even though Pep Guardiola does not want Raheem to leave Manchester City, he may be forced to let him go as he scrambles to gather funds to sign Harry Kane and Jack Grealish.
