Manchester City are expected to be extremely busy this summer as the Cityzens have been linked with a number of huge targets while players such as Raheem Sterling, Aymeric Laporte, Nathan Ake, Gabriel Jesus, and Bernardo Silva have all been linked with a move away from the Etihad this summer.

More from Man City Transfer Rumors

The case of Raheem Sterling is a rather curious one as the Englishman was touted to be untouchable in the City XI and his contract renewal was said to follow Kevin De Bruyne’s renewal. That did not happen of course and there still hasn’t been an update on the 26-year-old’s future at Manchester City, now that he has lost his place in the XI to the rising star in Phil Foden.

Sterling, 26, is said to be one of Pep Guardiola’s most trusted men but the poor form in the second half of the last season saw him lost his place in the XI to Foden. Consequently, Sterling was rarely seen in the starting XI in the big games and it was a surprise for almost everyone when the former Liverpool man was started in the UEFA Champions League final.

Todofichajes understands that Sterling has been tipped with a move to Barcelona this summer. The report also adds that Sterling will become a priority for Barcelona should Ousmane Dembele fail to renew with the club this summer.

Dembele, 24, has had his one of the most successful seasons with the Bluagrana ever since he arrived back in 2017. Dembele has been highly injury prone in his stint so far with FC Barcelona but this season saw the Frenchman make 30 appearances, his highest since he joined the club.

Dembele’s market value could be around €70 million while Sterling is expected to cost around €90 million for the Blaugrana.

It is understood that Sergi Roberto could be a part of this deal as well since Pep Guardiola is said to be interested in bringing the Spaniard to Manchester City.
