In recent reports from the Daily Mail, it seems that Manchester City are interested in signing young Portuguese winger Trincao in a potential swap deal for his fellow countryman Bernardo Silva.
Bernardo Silva has told Manchester City that he wants to leave the club this summer. Even though Pep Guardiola would prefer to keep the midfielder at the club, he will sell him for the right price (which is currently around 51 million pounds).

Two big La Liga clubs, namely Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, have emerged as potential future destinations for the Portuguese and have contacted his agent, Jorge Mendes. The Camp Nou however seems to be Bernardo’s preferred choice.
But with the Catalan club struggling financially, they have proposed a player swap deal to Manchester City. However, reports from the Daily Mail, have suggested that the sky blues have reportedly told Barcelona that they are not interested in the deal.
However, with Barcelona offering either Trincao, the Spanish midfielder/right-back Sergi Roberto or the French winger Ousmane Dembele, Pep Guardiola might have to reconsider his stand on this deal. Currently, Pep’s preference is either Trincao or Sergi Roberto.
Bernardo Silva’s exit from the Etihad is inevitable. He wants to leave England and stay close to his family in Portugal, hence making Spain the ideal destination for him. He has reportedly told his agent Jorge Mendes that he wants his future team to be decided before August 2021.
Silva was reportedly ready to leave Etihad in the summer of 2020 as a deal had been finalised with Barcelona, but with Pep Guardiola refusing to let his star leave and Jorge Mendes convincing the Portuguese to stay in England, the midfielder stayed put at the Etihad.
Whether Silva decides to go to Atletico Madrid or to Barcelona, he will always be remembered at Manchester City and his contribution to the club won’t be forgotten.
