Manchester City have already lost two of their star members this summer as Eric Garcia and Sergio Aguero have departed for Barcelona. The Sky Blues are apparently on the verge of losing another key member this summer.

According to Duncan Castles, the Premier League holders will soon have to bid farewell to Bernardo Silva. The latest report from Castles has mentioned that the Portuguese midfielder is open to leaving the Etihad this summer.

Barcelona and Atletico Madrid have shown interest in the 26-year-old and are willing to sign the player in the ongoing summer window.

The former Monaco man has had an excellent time so far at the Etihad as he already won the Championship twice. Last season, the attacking midfielder made 26 appearances in the league campaign and had managed to score twice for his club.

Currently, the Portuguese midfielder is away at Euros representing his national side. The talented midfielder will be in contention to start against Hungary on Tuesday. Silva will be hoping to play an instrumental role in this Portugal squad which already has the presence of star players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Joao Felix, Bruno Fernandes.

Will Manchester City lose Bernardo Silva?

There has been no official statement by the player on whether he wants to leave the Sky Blues this summer.

Officially, the midfielder has not yet submitted a transfer request to his present employers which means that this proposed deal might not take place at the moment.

However, the situation might change after the conclusion of Euro 2020. If Silva decides to leave the club this summer, then it will be tough to stop the player from leaving the Etihad.

Atletico Madrid have reportedly lined up a swap deal for the Portuguese as they are willing to include  Saul Niguez in this proposed exchange. Barcelona, on the other hand, are looking to pay in cash for the services of the star midfielder and hence will have to shell a transfer fee north of  60 million pounds.

Do let us know your thoughts on this proposed deal in the comments.
