With the international break now over, the Premier League returns, and Manchester City are preparing to take on West Ham.

On Saturday, the 16th September, City will attempt to keep a grip at the top of the table, where they are currently placed after winning all of their four matches so far, all of those points coming from Burnley, Newcastle, Sheffield, and Fulham.

Manager Pep Guardiola has given the traditional pre-match press conference and has revealed that three players who have been subjected to injuries will not be able to feature in Saturday’s game.

Pep started off by stating, ” They are injured (Grealish and Stones), and I don’t know for how long,” but that wasn’t all, as fans found out that they might not even play for the first game of the Champions League this coming week, as Pep told, ” I don’t think (they’ll play) against Red Star Belgrade, but we’ll see.”

Guardiola explained the situations of the two England internationals saying, “Jack (Grealish) has a knock on the knee, and John (Stones) is a little better but still has disturbance in his muscle.”

The third injury belongs to Croatian Mateo Kovacic, one of City’s new signings, but this one seemed the least worrying out of the three, “Not a big issue, but is out for tomorrow.” was Pep’s statement on the player, meaning he could possibly feature during City’s first UCL game.

After discussing his players, Pep assured his supporters that “I’m getting better, step by step.” after being absent due to injury for the last few weeks. Certain to assume fans will be glad to see him come on the sidelines.
