Manchester City will enter the market on the hunt for a striker ahead of the next season. The former Premier League champion will be without the services of their premier striker and club legend in Sergio Aguero from the next season onwards. Aguero is all set to leave the Cityzens after spending a decade at the Etihad Stadium.

The 32-year-old will walk out as a free agent this summer and is himself linked heavily with a move to Barcelona.

It has only made one thing clear and it is that City will need a striker as having Gabriel Jesus as the sole striker in the squad will not be enough. City have been closely linked with Erling Haaland and Harry Kane in the recent past. Romelu Lukaku has also been associated with Manchester City and now Caught Offside understands that Manchester City are preparing to launch a £100 million bid for the Belian superstar.

Having played for Chelsea and Manchester United previously, Lukaku boast of Premier League experience. The 27-year-old hasn’t had fruitful spells at his former clubs in the Premier League but with the form that he is in at the moment, Lukaku can do wonders anywhere on the football pitch.

The 27-year-old has been slapped with a £110 million price tag by Inter Milan who do not want to part ways with the former Manchester United man. Lukaku has managed to find the net 27 times form 39 appearances this season and has shown no signs of slowing down.

Lukaku, Kane and Haaland are the top three strikers linked with Manchester City and it will be interesting to see how City go about landing Haaland. The Norweigean striker is a very attractive though expensive option. He is only 20-years-old and has managed to establish himself as one of the topmost strikers in Europe at the moment.

If long-term future is the criteria for City to make their decision, Haaland is a much better option but if the former Premier League champions are looking at the next five years, Lukaku as an option makes sense.
