Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has had his say on Frank Lampard being axed as the manager of Chelsea FC. Chelsea shocked the footballing world when they decided to axe Frank Lampard after just a year and a half in-charge. Though the axe was expected, very few expected the Blues to do it in the middle of the season. Mirror reports that Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola hopes to reach out to Frank Lampard once the lockdown is done with.

Thomas Tuchel is close to being appointed as the new manager of Chelsea FC. The former Paris Saint-Germain manager is very close to a move to the Premier Lwague after being sacked by the 2019/20 UEFA Champions League runners-up.
Pep Guardiola when asked to give his opinion on the recent developments at the Stamford Bridge, the Spaniard opined that managers these days do not get enough time and are under immense pressure to settle in.
Speaking about Lampard, the former Barcelona manager said that while he had respect for the decision made by Chelsea, he hoped to see Lampard soon.
"“Here, you have to win,” he said, meaning at a club with trophy ambitions. “People talk about projects and ideas but it doesn’t exist. You have to win or you will be sacked. “I respect the Chelsea decision but a huge hug for Frank, hopefully when the lockdown is over I can go to a restaurant and see him again.”Source: Mirror"
Manchester City recorded one of their best wins of the season thus far when they trampled Frank Lampard’s Chelsea by a scoreline of 3-1. The Sky Blues were leadinf 3-0 for most part of the game before the Blues pulled one back in the dying embers of the game. Chelsea have failed to win against the top six teams in the Premier Lwague this season and that is a major part of why the reason behind the sacking of the former Blues and Sky Blues player.
Frank Lampard is a legend of the game and it is heart-warming to see managers understand each other. Pep Guardiola must now face a challenge of his own as he prepares his team for an upcoming gruelling schedule where the Cityzens will take on the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal, and Tottenham in the coming weeks. Pep’s most trusted midfielder in Kevin De Bruyne is expected to miss at least two of those crucial games and it’ll be interesting to see how Manchester City perform.
