Let us not forget that Stones recently returned to form and has been doing well. The English International, however, has got Ruben Dias to thank. Stones and Dias have created a wall in the backline and are currently the first-choice center-backs for Pep Guardiola. Speaking about Dias, Stones said:

"“Yeah, I absolutely love playing with him. We’ve still got room to improve. Everyone has got different qualities which is great. The consistency is key and us keeping clean sheets has been massive.I’ve said it numerous times now but to keep those clean sheets and have that platform for the lads to go and win the game is massive and it’s our job at the end of the day.I was thinking the other day that its not all on us – its not all in the defenders to get the clean sheets or that when someone scores its solely on the guys who scores.”source: Manchester City official website"

The much-dreaded attack of the Sky Blues will surely join the party in the coming weeks as chances are being created on a regular basis but it is just the finishing that is costing the men in sky blue some vital points.

The former Premier League champions, however, have got the perfect opportunity to make the title race a bit trickier than it already is.

The Cityzens go up against Everton on Monday and have the opportunity to move up to second place. Currently, only three points separate the two teams and a win would ensure only a three-point difference between Manchester City and the current Premier League champions in Liverpool.

A match that is arguably one of their most important fixtures this season, the Sky Blues have been presented with the perfect opportunity to shake things up a little at the top half of the table and set the tone for the rest of their campaign.
