The Manchester City senior men’s squad has dispersed for the October 2020 international break.

Several of Manchester City’s senior men’s team will compete during the 2020/21 UEFA Nations League, and others will participate in a series of international friendlies and 2020 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Their involvement during these international fixtures, however, will lead to a cause for concern.

Sergio Agüero, Gabriel Jesus, John Stones, and Oleksandr Zinchenko are already sidelined due to injury and have not featured in City’s recent matches. Raheem Sterling also recently withdrew from international duty citing a new injury. Manchester City’s senior team is depleting, and they cannot afford to lose additional players to injury during the international break.

Kyle Walker was called up to the English national team. The Three Lions will face Wales, Belgium, and Denmark.

Rúben Dias, Bernardo Silva, and João Cancelo were called up to the Portuguese national team. The Navigators and will face Spain, France, and Sweden.

Nathan Aké was called up to the Dutch national team. The Oranje will face Mexico, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Italy.

Rodri, Ferran Torres, and Eric García were called up to the Spanish national team. La Roja will face Portugal, Switzerland, and Ukraine.
