David Silva ‘happy here,’ won’t be leaving Manchester City for China
David Silva isn’t going anywhere, which is a good news for Manchester City.
David Silva is content at the blue side of Manchester City.
The Spanish midfielder recently reaffirmed his committed to Pep Guadiola‘s club, according to the Manchester Evening News.
“I have two-and-a-half years on my contract here and I am very happy here. I enjoy it here,” Silva said while on Spanish radio station Onda Cera, according to MEN.

There were murmurings Silva might leave City for the riches of the Far East like several former Premier League stars. Carlos Tevez is the latest, joining Shanghai Shenua for £650,000-a-week wages.
Ex-City boss Manuel Pellegrini relocated this summer to Hebei China Fortune over a European destination because of the money.
Yaya Toure might be another City face playing in China sooner than later too. The Ivorian’s been linked with a move there, and Guardiola apparently doesn’t want to renew his and several other old guard players’ contracts after the season.
Silva’s loyalty to stay bodes well for Guardiola’s long-term plans for the Sky Blues. He is one of the few players already well-adapted and suited for Tiki-Taka football. His incisive vision and passing is also unique among the squad. His absence undoubtedly would change how City attacks for the worse.

The field general is also still humming from his fantastic performance yesterday against West Ham United in the FA Cup third round. He scored a goal in City’s 5-0 dismantling of the London side.
“It was a good game to start the cup. I am happy. I felt good on the pitch, we are excited about the competition and aim to win it.
“We had time to rest but were away from home against a difficult team. We want to win the cup.”
It’s good to see Silva and City get their swagger back. Both will need to be magisterial to make a push for the Premier League title in the campaign’s second half.
City sits fourth on the table with 42 points, seven behind league-leading Chelsea.
