Manchester City have been interested in Coman for some time now, but with his contract end coming closer the deal looks more possible.
The France international, who joined Bayern from Juventus in 2017, has only two years left on his contract at the Allianz Arena and he is firm on not extending it. This has alerted a lot of elite clubs across Europe including Liverpool and Manchester City.
According to reports, Bayern have not been able to convince the 25-year-old to renew his deal at the club. If Bayern fail to convince Coman to sign an extension at the club, then they will look to sell him next year for cash rather than selling him for free.
With Mahrez and Sterling not signing new extensions to their contracts which expire in 2023, Coman could well fit into Pep Guardiola’s plans.
Coman has already played for some of the biggest clubs in the world including Bayern, PSG and Juventus. He has scored 41 times and registered 50 assists in 203 appearances for Bayern in all competitions, and has a cabinet full of trophies.
Reports also suggest that playing in England is the 25-year old’s “dream” and with Liverpool and City interested we can certainly see him making that move.
With Bernardo Silva also set to leave the club in the near future, and with Riyad Mahrez inching towards his early 30’s, do you think it would be a good move for Pep Guardiola to bring Coman to Etihad?
