Manchester City offer former Manchester United forward a 2-year contract after Kane decides to stay
Manchester City were linked with Harry Kane throughout the summer window but with the English striker deciding to stay at Tottenham for the ongoing season has meant that it is highly unlikely that the defending Premier League champions would be able to land the Spurs talisman.
Kane, 28, is about to enter the prime years of his career and it is no surprise that City want him, given that they are aiming to win their maiden UEFA Champions League trophy this season. Having said that though, with Kane out of the picture, it is now time for the Sky Blues to look at other options.

Sky Sports reports that Manchester City have offered a 2-year contract to Cristiano Ronaldo with a salary of €15 million per season but do not intend to pay any fee to Juventus, who are said to be demanding at least £21.4 million for the services of the former Manchester United man.
Earlier, it was understood that City were not interested in signing Ronaldo but with Kane deciding to stay at Spurs, that seems to have changed.
Ronaldo, 36, has entered the final stages of his career and perhaps, his next destination could be his final destination. The former Real Madrid striker is arguably the best striker in the world and his UCL exploits are well-known.
With City aiming to launch another serious bid for the UCL title, Ronaldo is the type of player that they require.
It is also understood that the Bianconeri want Gabriel Jesus to be a part of the deal but the Sky Blues have got no intentions of selling the Brazilian striker. Jesus is currently the only recognized number 9 in the City ranks and is likely to be given an extended run this season.
While the ‘false 9’ strategy did wonders for Pep Guardiola last season, it is unlikely that it will do the job this time around, thus compounding the reason why City need a proper finisher.
Ronaldo has already played for Manchester United and so far that has not played an active role in proceedings. Do you think Ronaldo would do the unthinkable and sign for Manchester City?
