Manchester City have been heavily linked with Harry Kane throughout the summer and that has dominated the headlines for the better part of the last two months. The Cityzens are willing to break the English transfer record, again, to seal a move for Kane, who arguably, is, one of the best strikers on the planet.
It is not going to be easy though. Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has been playing hardball in the negotiations and is firm on his stance of not letting his main man join a direct rival.

More from Man City Transfer Rumors

With Harry Kane also said to be applying pressure from his end, a final effort from Manchester City to convince Spurs to let go of their talisman can be expected in the coming days. The defending Premier League champions, however, need to sell a few players before they can break the bank to sign the 28-year-old.

Bernardo Silva has been linked with a move away from the club this summer but no real bids have arrived for him thus far. However,  Ekrem Konur reports that AC Milan and Manchester City are in talks over a potential Serie A switch for Silva, who is said to have reached an agreement on personal terms with Milan.

While there has been no real indication on the kind of money that City are hoping to get out of the rumored transaction, it is believed that a fee in the range of £45-50 million should be enough to convince the Sky Blues to part ways with the Portugal international.

Time is running out for City, however. With only a week left before the summer window slams shut, City need to make another offer to Tottenham for Harry Kane before calling it quits on their pursuit of the English striker.

As it stands, City’s first official bid of £100 million with the probability of inclusion of players was rejected by Tottenham and their stance hasn’t changed, especially when it comes to the idea of selling Kane this summer.
