Manchester City might just be able to acquire their perfect no.9 this summer
By Zoheb Alam
Manchester City are still on the lookout for a quality no.9.The English Champions have currently shortlisted Harry Kane to fill in the boots of their legendary striker Sergio Aguero, who has departed from the club this summer.
With PSG securing the services of Messi, the Sky Blues, too, could get the opportunity to sign a world-class forward this summer. As per the latest claims by Corriello Dello Sport, it has been reported that Ronaldo has offered himself to Manchester City.
This Italian source has sensationally claimed that Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes has apparently given a proposal to Guardiola for his most expensive client. And yes, this latest from development could be partially true, considering the fact that there have been rumours that the five-time Ballon D’or winner is open to an exit from Turin.
It’s important to remember that Ronaldo’s last season with the Bianconeri was fairly average as his side couldn’t lift any major trophies. However, as an individual, the Portuguese had excellent numbers in front of the goal as he finished the 2020/21 league campaign with the highest number of goals.
Also, the 36-year-old is yet to accomplish his biggest objective at the Allianz Stadium, which is to win the UEFA Champions League. With the likes of PSG, Chelsea and Manchester United signing quality players this summer, there are chances that Allegri’s Juventus might fall short in Europe’s elite competition.

Therefore, it will not be unrealistic for Ronaldo to land at the Etihad this summer, given the fact that the Cityzens have an excellent star-studded squad at their disposal.
As of now, Manchester City are concentrating to bring Harry Kane this summer. His current employers have valued him at 160 million pounds, which has somehow stopped the Premier League giants from signing their most expensive player.
For now, negotiations for Kane are on, but recent reports have claimed that the Englishman would fancy staying back with the North London outfit. In the meanwhile, the Sky Blues could try to scoop out Ronaldo from Juventus. Also, the Portuguese has a contract with the Old Lady till next summer, which means that he would be free to leave the club next June.
Authorities at Turin could well consider a decent bid for their talisman as they would prefer to cash out on the attacker rather than letting the star leave for no cost.
