Manchester City superstar on the radar of Juventus
According to a report from Italian news outlet Tuttosport (h/t The Manchester Evening News), Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte is attracting interest from Serie A giants Juventus.
Aymeric Laporte, 27, fell behind the likes of Ruben Dias and John Stones in the defensive pecking order, starting only 14 Premier League games. Overall, he made 27 appearances, which is very less compared to what the centre-back had hoped for.

As per Tuttosport (h/t The Manchester Evening News), the Spanish international is unsettled at the Etihad Stadium and wants to leave the club this summer.
Keeping the situation in mind, Juventus have approached Manchester City for Laporte, who still has four years remaining on his contract.
Juventus are eyeing defensive reinforcements in the ongoing transfer window to snatch away the Serie A title from Inter Milan.
However, the report adds that they are only targeting a loan deal for Laporte but face competition from Barcelona.
Merih Demiral has officially left Juventus to join Atalanta as a replacement for Cristian Romero. Perhaps, Juventus want Laporte on loan to replace Demiral in Max Allegri’s squad.
Laporte, who was a part of the Spanish national team in Euro 2020, was an unused substitute in City’s 1-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in their season opener in north London on Sunday. While the pair of Ruben Dias and Nathan Ake started in defence at Tottenham, Pep Guardiola is likely to go with the Dias-Stones pair in the next league game against Norwich City.
Considering the fact that Laporte is entering the pomp of his career, he should be playing week in, week out. That looks unlikely to happen at Manchester City this season, which has led the 27-year-old to contemplate his future in the Premier League.
All in all, the Spanish international leaving the Etihad Stadium would be ideal for all parties involved. It remains to be seen if Juventus are really interested in signing Laporte or not.
