Manchester City prepare £127m bid for Tottenham striker Harry Kane
According to famous Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Manchester City are preparing a bid worth €150m (£127m) for Harry Kane if they get a signal from Tottenham Hotspur that a deal can be agreed.
Harry Kane, 28, made his intentions clear of leaving Tottenham earlier this summer after repeatedly becoming frustrated over a lack of silverware despite establishing himself as one of the best strikers in the Premier League.

The England international has netted 165 goals in 243 appearances to sit seventh on the all-time list, with 22 goals coming in the 2020/21 campaign.
Manchester City saw a £100m offer turned down by Tottenham back in June, as the north London club insisted Kane is not for sale regardless of the striker’s desire to leave for pastures new.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is a tough negotiator and remains reluctant to sell his star man to a direct Premier League rival.
However, City are not giving up and waiting to find out how things unfold. Fabrizio Romano claims Tottenham haven’t received a new proposal for Kane and want to keep him this season, but the Premier League champions want to be ready in case there’s a change in situation.
Manchester City have made a statement of intent by signing Jack Grealish from Aston Villa last week, smashing the British transfer record in a £100m deal. And potentially bringing in Kane would further shatter the British transfer record the Sky Blues set very recently.
With Manchester United signing Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane and Chelsea closing in on Romelu Lukaku, City cannot sit quietly even after the acquisition of Grealish. Pep Guardiola’s side are crying out for an out-and-out goalscorer and Kane fits the bill perfectly at the Etihad Stadium.
After a long break following exploits with England in Euro 2020, Kane did report over the weekend to Spurs but has had the isolate due to Covid-19 rules and regulations. In fact, Nuno Espirito Santo has indicated he could select the England skipper in the Tottenham squad for the opening league game against the Sky Blues on Sunday.
From Manchester City’s side, it’s great to see Guardiola and co. pushing to get a deal done for Kane. Only time will tell if Kane moves from north London to Manchester in this transfer window or not.
