Manchester City have set sights on another young talent
By Zoheb Alam
Manchester City’s insistence to recruit young talent could now see them land another “future star”.Despite having a talented youngster like Phil Foden, the English Champions are keen to add more youthful stars to their present roster.
Hajduk Split’s teenage star Stipe Biuk seems to have caught the attention of Pep Guardiola. As per reports from FootMercato, it has been claimed that Manchester City have kept tabs on the youngster and can soon sign the young talent in the near future.
Biuk,18, has already put some fine performances for Split’s senior side and has been one of the rising stars in the Croatia U-21 side. His last appearance in the Croatian shirt came in the quarterfinals of the Euro U-21, which, unfortunately, ended in a 2-1 loss to Spain.

Besides City, the talented left-winger has also received transfer interest from clubs like Bayern Munich, Wolfsburg, Borussia Monchengladbach and Hoffenheim. Other notable European sides like Galatasaray and Red Bull Salzburg, too, have enquired about the availability of the youngster.
At the moment, the Sky Blues have plenty of left-wingers at their disposal. Recently, the English Champions decided to strengthen their left side of the attack by signing Jack Grealish for a record fee of 100 million pounds.
However, the club could yet invest in Biuk as a youth prospect. The Sky Blues have some fine young talents in the shape of Liam Delap, Yan Couto and Tommy Doyle. Therefore, the addition of the Croatian wonderkid could benefit the Premier League giants in the longer run.
Talking about his valuation, the authorities at the Hajduk Split want 18 million euros for the services of their talented youngster. Meanwhile, Hadjuk Split’s president Luksa Jakobusic has apparently made it clear that he will not be willing to listen to offers below their set valuation.
Currently, Biuk has a contract at the Stadion Poljud which will see him stay at the club till the summer of 2026. Although, chances are that Manchester City might not wait till the expiry of his contract, and would rather look to sign him up by next summer.
