Defending Champions Manchester City are all set to start their league campaign against Tottenham Hotspur on 15th August. The Sky Blues although have kicked off the season with a 1-0 loss against Leicester City in the Community Shield Final, but are now hoping to make amends with a bright start at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday.

Recent reports from The Sun have now revealed that Raheem Sterling will stay at the Etihad this summer. This latest revelation from The Sun will surely provide some relief to the fans, as in recent weeks, there has been a lot of rumours regarding a potential exit for the star attacker.

Arsenal and Tottenham had apparently shown interest in the signature of the English international as they look to add more force to their final third this summer.

In seven matches, the Englishman scored three crucial goals for Gareth Southgate’s side and was highly effectively upfront with Harry Kane.

Currently, Sterling has two years left on his contract, and chances are that he might sign an extension till the summer of 2024. Therefore, we can expect a new deal to be announced in the next few days.
