Manchester City’s number one target for this summer, Harry Kane has made his intentions clear about his future.
The English striker was due to join up with the rest of his Tottenham teammates on Monday after a ‘short holiday’ however he has failed to report to training. As per multiple reports, Kane is forcing his hand in order to engineer a move away from Spurs.
Ever since Manchester City expressed their interest in Kane, the player’s head seems to have been turned, and now, he is ready to make his wish apparent to his employers.

Spurs have been playing hardball with City so far, knowing that they have an upper hand on the situation given that Kane is tied to a long-term contract, although by not turning up at training, the skipper seems to have made his message clear.
Moreover, reliable football journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed that Kane chose to skip training on his own and that it was not due to a ‘covid test’ as reported in some tabloids.
Romano added that the 28-year-old believes he has a ‘gentleman’s agreement’ with Tottenham to leave this summer, although some reports state the skipper could complicate matters further if tries to force his hand in order to engineer an exit.
Harry Kane goes AWOL in training as Spurs exit rumours intensify
Daniel Levy is as shrewd a negotiator as they come, and the Tottenham boss has so far been reluctant to even listen to offers that City have tabled.
So far, Spurs have refused to comment on the latest developments, and it seems the pendulum has swung in City’s favour again.
Earlier reports suggested that Man City would have to choose between Jack Grealish and Kane and that the club would not be able to make both moves happen this summer. City are close to finalising a deal for Grealish after submitting a record bid to Aston Villa.
However, with Kane choosing to skip training today, the rumours of him wanting to leave Spurs have intensified further, and it remains to be seen if and when the England skipper returns back to training.
