Aston Villa star agrees personal terms with Manchester City
Jack Grealish has evolved into one of the best playmakers on the planet and it is no surprise that Pep Guardiola wants him in his XI as he looks on to land his first UEFA Champions League trophy since leaving Barcelona and City’s maiden UEFA Champions League title.
The very fact that Grealish has been performing consistently at Aston Villa despite the relative lack of quality at the Villa Park speaks amounts about his quality and his desire to succeed. All the signs point toward one thing: Grealish is ready to take on Europe in the grandest stage of all, the UEFA Champions League.

Grealish was arguably one of the best players for England at the Euro 2020. The 25-year-old’s future is currently under the scanner as he continues to be linked with a move to Manchester City.
Football Insider understands that Grealish has reached an agreement with Manchester on personal terms amid reports that he may be reconsidering the transfer to Manchester City.
It is understood that City have offered the playmaker a ‘huge’ contract; the details of which aren’t exactly clear. The fact however remains. The clubs are yet to reach an agreement over the transfer fee.
Aston Villa are eager to keep their star man as they have been rumored to have offered Grealish a ‘double your money’ contract with the 25-year-old only signing a five-year deal last summer.
It seems money will not be much of an issue in this expected transfer. The prospect of playing and developing under one of the best coaches in the game could tempt Grealish to join City. However, he is unlikely to force the issue with his boyhood club.
There is a very strong possibility of the 25-year-old staying put at Aston Villa this summer but it remains to be seen if CIty are desperate to sign him, given that they have fallen behind in the transfer race to rivals Manchester United who have already completed the signing of Jadon Sancho and are now closing in on Raphael Varane.
United could pose a serious threat to the Premier League next season if CIty fail to improve their squad.
