In a recent tweet, highly acclaimed sports journalist Fabrizio Romano has said that Tottenham Hotspur have denied all rumors about Harry Kane leaving the White Hart Lane for Manchester City this season.

Daniel Levy, the chairman of Tottenham Hotspur, says Fabrizio Romano wants to keep Harry Kane at the club and till now there has been no deal agreed between the two clubs.

He has also said that City are very interested in signing the English captain, but till now they have only made one big that is 100 million pounds and Tottenham Hotspur have turned it down.

In the Tweet, Romano said,

“Tottenham are denying rumours about Harry Kane set to join Manchester City. Daniel Levy wants to keep Kane – there’s nothing agreed between clubs. Manchester City are interested but there’s NO fee agreed. Only bid was one month ago: £100m, turned down.”

Harry Kane had expressed his desire to leave Tottenham Hotspur in May as they failed to qualify for Champions League. This alerted a lot of suitors, many of them in the premier league including Manchester City, Manchester United, and at a certain point even Chelsea.

Since then City have been chasing to get Harry Kane’s signature but now it seems highly unlikely that last season’s golden boot winner will wear the city jersey next season.

Until recently, the rumors were that a 160 million pound bid had been agreed for Harry Kane, where he was offered a whopping 400k a week for his services at the Etihad, but Fabrizio Romano’s recent updates have only added more fuel to the drama.
