Raheem Sterling could be on his way out of Manchester City this summer. While City already have a replacement for him in Phil Foden, it is understandable why the Premier League champions would be wanting to replace one of their exit-bound mainstays with someone who is equally capable, if not more.

Bayern Munich and Chelsea have been interested in Italian winger, Federico Chiesa. Chiesa was one of the breakout performers in Euro 2020 and put up a really impressive display in the final against England.

More from Man City Transfer Rumors

Juventus however, are determined to hold on to their asset and have ruled out any potential deal for him this summer, with the player also said to be happy at Turin.

Calciomercato understands that Manchester City have now joined the race to sign Chiesa this term, though it is highly unlikely that Juventus would be willing to part ways with the 23-year-old unless an unbelievable offer comes knocking at their door.

City have been linked with the English duo of Jack Grealish and Harry Kane this summer. While signing Harry Kane is almost next to impossible, thanks to the Spurs’ valuation of £150 million for the 27-year-old, Grealish is said to be close to completing a move to City. Recent reports however suggest that Grealish is having second thoughts about becoming a City player and could end up signing a new contract with Aston Villa, despite signing one last summer.

In the odd event of City not being able to secure both Grealish and Kane, one could assume that Pep Guardiola would want to play with a false nine for another season or perhaps, give Gabriel Jesus one final chance before showing him the exit door.

The Brazilain though has been linked with a move this summer but would be tempted to stay if he is given another chance next season.

Assuming City do manage to land Chiesa this summer, Foden could move back to the midfield alongside Kevin De Bruyne and Chiesa could be playing on the left-wing.

Again, these are all just speculations at this point, and with Juventus failing to win the Serie A for the first time since 2011/12, the Bianconeri would be determined to stage a strong comeback next season. For that to happen, however, they will need their best squad and that is likely to include Federico Chiesa.
