Manchester City set to begin talks with Barcelona superstar’s agents this week
Manchester City have been circling Harry Kane for quite some time now but Tottenham plan to keep him and the Lillywhites are refusing to budge from their stance. ‘
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is not a fan of selling his most prized asset this summer let alone selling him to a direct rival. Consequently, Spurs have slapped a £150 million price tag on Harry Kane, a sum that even Manchester City are finding difficult to match.

Recently though, City made an offer worth £100 million with the probability of including players in the deal to secure the services of Harry Kane but that was immediately shot down by Tottenham.
Having said that, City need a striker. With no Sergio Aguero in the squad anymore, it is clear that the Premier League champions need a top-quality goal-scorer who can help them win their maiden UEFA Champions League title next season.
Antoine Greizmann, a few weeks ago was considered to among the untouchables in Barcelona ranks but with Blaugrana’s financial situation going from bad to worse has meant that the former La Liga champions need to lighten their wage bill by a massive £170 million if they are to sign Messi, Eric Garcia, Sergio Aguero, Memphis Depay, and Emerson Royal.
As it stands, Griezmann has the most lucrative contract at Barcelona and the former La Liga giants will have to go against their initial intentions and offload Griezmann if they are to register some new signings this summer.
The 30-year-old’s agents are said to be aware of the situation and are set to contact Manchester City this week over a possible move as per MEN.
Manchester City are likely to be benefitted from this as Pep Guardiola is said to be a fan of the player and Griezmann is certainly a cheaper alternative to Harry Kane. It is understood that a fee in the range of £60 million will be enough to land the Frenchman.
