Manchester City secure a deal in principle to sign LA Galaxy wonderkid
According to a report from ESPN Deportes, Manchester City have agreed on a deal in principle with LA Galaxy to sign teenage starlet Alejandro Alcala.
Alejandro Alcala, 15, has left many stunned with his performances in the youth levels for LA Galaxy and is tipped as the next big thing in North American football. Despite being born in the United States, the youngster comes from a Mexican family and has been representing them in the U-15 and U-16 levels.

ESPN Deportes claim the 15-year-old Alcala has already been invited by Manchester City and Barcelona scouts to train with the team.
He is believed to have impressed the English scouts and now has the chance to join the defending Premier League champions as soon as he turns 18.
Alcala, who does not turn 16 years of age until October, is a central midfielder by trade but can also play in the hole behind the striker.
The young footballer idolises Ronaldinho and wants to follow the Brazilian legend’s achievements in the future, the report adds.
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is keen on strengthening his squad in a bid to defend the club’s Premier League title. As well as refreshing the first-team squad, the Sky Blues remain very much focused on building a team for the future by recruiting young talents from around the globe.
Pep Guardiola’s City bolstered their youth system earlier this year by signing a few exciting young players such as Dario Sarmiento, Kayky, and Metinho. The trio of Sarmiento, Kayky, and Metinho are extremely talented individuals with top potential whose signings represent City’s long-term vision in building the squad for the future.
Thus, it’s not a surprise to see the Cityzens have an agreement with Alejandro Alcala—the LA Galaxy wonderkid. Alcala is a burgeoning talent, way more mature and well-rounded than the players of his age bracket.
Having thrashed out a preliminary agreement between the relevant parties for the player to make the future switch to Manchester City, it’ll be interesting to see how Alcala develops at LA Galaxy over the next few years.
