Manchester City have been linked with two major targets in Jack Grealish and Harry Kane. While City has got a very good chance of signing Jack Grealish for £100 million, the same cannot be said for Harry Kane.

Daniel Levy, the chairman of Tottenham Hotspur is said to be not in favor of selling his most prized assets this summer, let alone selling the 27-year-old to an immediate rival. Having said that, the Premier League champions recently made a £100 million bid to secure the services of the English striker but their attempt was shot down by Tottenham.

Kane is valued at £150 million and if the Cityzens have got any hope of landing the Tottenham leading goal-scorer, they need to increase their bid to match the valuation set by Levy.

City are said to be closing in on Grealish and if they are to buy Harry Kane, they need to make a few high-profile sales this summer and out of the several players linked with a move away from the club, Aymeric Laporte’s case is the most curious one.

The former Athletic Bilbao man was the then-record signing of the Cityzens and was an undisputed starter in the City XI pretty much ever since he arrived until the partnership of John Stones and Ruben Dias won Manchester City the Premier League and the Carabao Cup and nearly won them their maiden UEFA Champions League title.

Laporte, 27, is said to be unhappy with his current role at the club and is said to be looking for an exit this summer. Out of the several clubs said to be interested in him, Barcelona are also said to be keeping a close eye on him.

Miquel Blazquez reports that Laporte ‘would welcome’ playing at the Camp Nou next season and that the player wants to leave Manchester City this summer.

"“Aymeric Laporte would be delighted to sign for Barça. The central defender wants to leave Manchester City and would welcome playing at the Camp Nou next season. He loves the city and the club.#FCBarcelona”Source: Twitter"

Barcelona are eager to improve their defense but their delicate financial situation has only made things tough for the former La Liga champions.

The source claims that Laporte ‘loves Barcelona’, thus adding fuel to the fire.

It is going to be a very complicated deal for the former La Liga champions if they do decide to pursue the Frenchman, who is currently representing Spain at the Euro 2020.
