BREAKING: Manchester City make official £100M bid for Harry Kane
According to reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano, Manchester City have made an official bid worth £100M for Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane.
The Sky Blues are ready to shatter their transfer record, which is less than £65m, in pursuit of Harry Kane, 27, who has been identified by Pep Guardiola as his top summer transfer target.

Manchester City’s offer to Tottenham Hotspur was an initial £100 million-plus availability to include players in the deal. Fabrizio Romano tweeted that players like Raheem Sterling, Aymeric Laporte, and Gabriel Jesus could be discussed in any future negotiations.
One of Europe’s best strikers, Harry Kane is yet to lift a single trophy with Tottenham, despite making his senior debut back in 2011.
The England international is understood to be frustrated at Spurs’ continued inability to win silverware and wants to leave the club, who presently remain without a manager and will be making their official Europa Conference League debut after finishing 7th last season.
However, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is reluctant to let go of his star man this summer and has no intention of accepting Manchester City’s opening proposal, Romano adds.
Regardless of Kane pushing for a move away from Spurs, the Italian journalist claims that the centre-forward remains focused on Euro 2020 and any decision regarding his future will be made after the tournament.
City’s opening proposal worth £100M for Kane is massive a statement of intent, one which apparently demonstrates that Pep Guardiola wants this deal wrapped up as quickly as possible. It is crystal clear Guardiola is keen on Kane and sees him as the ideal successor to Sergio Aguero, who left the club to join Barcelona on a free transfer earlier this month.
The Manchester City tactician desperately wants to fight for the coveted Champions League trophy after narrowly missing out last month. The club does have the financial muscle and getting Kane would be phenomenal.
The English striker, who has three years left on his contract at Spurs, certainly has the potential and quality to take the Cityzens to another level. As things stand, it is great to see City making their intentions absolutely clear of getting their summer’s primary target.
