Sergio Ramos shocked the footballing world when he announced his decision to leave Real Madrid this summer. The 35-year-old has spent a trophy-laden 16 glorious years at Manchester City and is a major reason why Real Madrid dominated the UEFA Champions League stage in the last five years.

Manchester City have been linked with the 35-year-old as the Cityzens are desperate to bag their maiden UEFA Champions League title and for that, the think-tank at the Etihad Stadium believes that Ramos’ experience at the heart of the defense will only hold them in good stead.

More from Man City Transfer Rumors

Recently though, Manchester City did reveal that they had no intentions to sign the 35-year-old but journalist Ekren Korun is suggesting otherwise.

Korun understands that both Manchester City and rivals United are set to make their respective offers to Sergio Ramos.

As far as City is concerned, the Premier League champions are believed to have offered the center-back a bumper 2-year contract with a €16 million annual salary and sign-on bonus worth €20 million.

Sergio Ramos is no doubt one of the very best players in his position and the Spaniard is an even more influential leader.

While the former Real Madrid skipper battled recurrent injuries last season, the Premier League champions would be hoping that it is not the case again, should and if the 35-year-old joins the City set-up.

The Cityzens meanwhile, have also been linked to the likes of Jack Grealish, and Harry Kane with the Premier League champions said to be the favorites to sign the English duo. Having said that, Grealish is set to cost around £100 million while the deal involving Harry Kane could be very complicated as Spurs could demand £150 million for their most prized asset.

The Cityzens do certainly have what it takes to bring the UEFA Champions League title to Manchester but Sergio Ramos is certainly not worth the invaluable transfer funds that City could be spending elsewhere this summer.
