In the last few months, Manchester City’s interest in Jack Grealish has been well documented. The 25-year-old has established himself as one of the very best in England after another fruitful season with his boyhood club, Aston Villa.

The 25-year-old notched up six goals and 10 assists last season despite being ruled out for three months with an injury towards the end of the season.

More from Man City Transfer Rumors

Last summer, the midfielder was heavily linked with a  move to Manchester United but the deal couldn’t go all the way and he stayed at Aston Villa while signing a new contract with the Villains, one that would keep him at the club until 2025.

Manchester City though, are said to be heavily interested in landing the 25-year-old this summer and while signing Harry Kane looks very difficult, City are tipped to be the favorites to land Grealish this summer.

MIrror understands that City are willing to spend more than £90 million, the sum that was spent by the Red Devils back in 2016 to land Paul Pogba from Juventus.

Bernardo Silva has been linked with a move away from the club this summer as the Portugal international is said to have developed a distaste towards English football and climate.

Grealish could fit really well into the City setup and could form a very dynamic and dominant alliance with Kevin De Bruyne at the heart of midfield.

It is understood that Aston Villa have slapped a £100 million valuation on Grealish and with him being tied up Aston Villa until 2025, the Villains are in no hurry to sell their prized asset.
Moreover, it is highly unlikely that the 25-year-old would force a move this summer, especially after considering that he decided to stick with Aston Villa when they were relegated to the Championship a few years back.

Pep Guardiola is a known admirer of the midfielder and this is what he had to say about Grealish when Manchester City and Aston Villa met back in October:

"“He’s incredible. A top player. I’m happy he stayed in the Championship to defend his club when he could have gone.“He’s a talented player who always creates something. An exceptional player but too expensive for Manchester!”Source: Mirror"
