Raheem Sterling has been linked with a move to Arsenal and Tottenham. While Manchester City are understood to be in favor of extending the 26-year-old’s contract with the club, it is up to Sterling to decide his future, now that he has lost his place in the XI to Phil Foden.

Reports from Goal explain that Manchester City are prepared to let Sterling leave as they have already identified a new target in Real Sociedad’s Mikel Oyarbazal.

More from Man City Transfer Rumors

City were linked with the 24-year-old winger last summer as well but Pep Guardiola decided to go with Ferran Torres instead.

It is understood that Oyarbazal is tipped to be the replacement for either Sterling or Bernardo Silva, should either of them leave the club this summer.

Oyarabazal is one of the underrated talents in Europe as he continues to notch up goal tally figures in double digits on a consistent basis. In the last season, the Spanish winger found the net 11 times while assisting on 8 occasions from 33 appearances.

The Cityzens have certainly got a very busy summer window ahead of them as numerous City players have been linked with a move away from the club this summer. The list including Sterling and Silva also has the likes of Joao Cancelo, Aymeric Laporte, and Gabriel Jesus.

Oyarbazal could well be a good fit in Pep’s set-up for the next season but it is likely that Manchester City would not look to go for him, especially if there is a real chance at signing the duo of Harry Kane and Jack Grealish this summer.

City are tipped to be the favorites to sign Grealish, who can play as a left-winger as well as in the midfield.
