Manchester City have been busy in the ongoing transfer window and so far, have only managed to recruit Kayky from Fluminese. Presently, the club is reportedly in pursuit of some high-profile names like Erling Haaland, Jack Grealish and Harry Kane.
The Sky Blues are also facing the prospect of losing some of their first-team members as the likes of Aymeric Laporte, Bernardo Silva and Riyad Mahrez. However, recent developments suggest that the Cityzens will soon hand a new deal to one of their star-forwards.
According to Telegraph, Manchester City are now willing to offer a new contract to Raheem Sterling. Of late, there has been a lot of speculation over the future of the English international, with many reports indicating that the forward might leave Etihad this summer.
The 26-year-old forward had an average outing with the Sky Blues last term as he made 26 appearances in the Premier League and had scored only nine goals in the Championship.
Currently, Sterling is away on national duty with England for the ongoing European Championship. The Englishman played an instrumental role in his side’s 1-0 victory over Croatia as he scored the only goal for the Three Lions.
The 26-year-old has a contract at the Etihad which will see him stay at the club till the summer of 2023.
Will Manchester City offer a new deal?

Chances are that the club will opt for an extension. Pep Guardiola himself would favour keeping the Englishman in his plans. Sterling has had some fine moments in the City shirt and has already won a treble of Premier League titles since his switch to Etihad back in 2015.
The Sky Blues will again fight for their maiden Champions League title next season and I believe the present attacking unit does require an experienced forward like Sterling.
We are expected to receive more details on this new contract after the conclusion of the Euros. As of now, the situation looks much more improved for both parties and hence it might not be a surprise if Manchester City decides to offer a new deal to their star attacker.
