According to a report from Calcio In Pillole, Manchester City are ready to make a mammoth offer of €110 million for Borussia Dortmund’s goal-machine Erling Haaland.
Erling Haaland, 20, is widely regarded as one of the top young attacking talents in European football and he has been in sensational form in recent seasons.

The Norwegian international rose to prominence following a brilliant run in Austria with Red Bull Salzburg before continuing his rich goalscoring form after completing a move to the Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund in January 2020.
Haaland plundered 41 goals and 12 assists in 41 games for Dortmund, including 27 goals and eight assists in the Bundesliga this past season.
The Leeds-born star’s rich exploits in front of goal has also caught the eye of Chelsea, who are set to battle it out with Manchester City for the player’s signature, Calcio In Pillole claim.
However, it looks like Manchester City will be making the first big step to acquire Haaland’s services. They are set to test Dortmund’s resolve with a €110 million offer; although, it looks very unlikely the Bundesliga club would accept City’s initial offer as their demands for the highly-rated talent remain higher.
Dortmund are in no rush to sell Haaland, especially after qualifying for the Champions League next season. They are expected to make one major sale this summer, which looks likely of Jadon Sancho to Manchester United, as per a report by Sky Sports.
One of the most sought-after players in world football, Haaland is more than a mere goalscorer as he brings others into play and creates opportunities for himself as well as his teammates. Keeping his qualities in mind, he would fit right into Pep Guardiola’s system at Manchester City.
Manchester City chief Pep Guardiola is in search of a big-name striker after losing Sergio Aguero on a free transfer to Barcelona. The Sky Blues are planning to sell some of their first-team stars as well as fringe players that could help them fund Guardiola’s primary summer targets- Harry Kane and Jack Grealish.
Haaland is also a target for the English champions and while he will be available for a fairly reasonable €75million in the summer of 2022—thanks to a buy-out clause in his contract at Dortmund—City must do everything to their powers to sign the world-class talent this summer itself.
