Manchester City lining up a massive bid to secure the long-term replacement for Fernandinho
Declan Rice has been linked with a move away from West Ham United for quite some time now. The English midfielder is said to be on the radar of Premier League giants such as Manchester City, rivals Manchester United, and Chelsea.
Rice, 22, has established himself as one of the better central defensive midfielders in England and could be headed towards a new challenge this summer.
The 22-year-old was very close to joining Chelsea last summer but the rumored deal did not materialize. Manchester United were also said to be interested in the England international but had to focus on bringing other players to the Old Trafford.
Manchester City and Manchester United are said to be ‘considering making an offer’ for the services of the Englishman, as per Athletic.

Manchester City have emerged as new possible suitors for the 22-year-old as Fernandinho, 36, is likely to accept a one-year extension with the club but after that, it is highly unlikely that he would stay at City.
Rice would serve as the long-term replacement for Fernandinho and there could be a healthy competition between Rodri and Rice for the holding midfielder’s position in the XI.
It is not going to be easy for any of the teams that are said to be interested in signing the 22-year-old. Rice has made it clear that he wants to focus on the upcoming Euro 2020 for the time being and West Ham manager David Moyes and reiterated the fact that Rice is an integral part of his plans and that the Hammers do not plan on selling him, consequently slapping a £110 million price tag on the player.
Declan Rice, though has been linked with a move this summer, is likely to stay put at West Ham.
Moreover, Manchester City will focus on bringing in Jack Grealish and Harry Kane this summer with Kane said to cost £150 million and Grealish, £100 million.
Manchester United have also been linked with the duo but the Red Devils would want to first put an end to the Jadon Sancho transfer saga by submitting a decisive bid this summer.
