Romelu Lukaku is having the season of his career and is currently enjoying the form of his life. With 24 goals and 11 assists to his name, Lukaku has been linked with a series of big clubs this summer including a move back to England.
Manchester City and Chelsea are said to be interested in the Belgian.

More from Man City Transfer Rumors

Just over a month ago, it was understood that the Nerazzuri valued Lukaku at a mammoth £110 million but the equation seems to have changed as the Serie A champions are looking to balance their records by making sales worth £80 million this summer.

Todofichajes understands that the Italian giants have dropped their valuation for the Belgian to £80 million. His partner in Lautaro Martinez is also said to be worth the same.

This is a welcome piece of news for City as their hunt for a striker continues. Both, Chelsea and Manchester City have been linked with Harry Kane but Spurs’ valuation of £150 million for the 27-year-old seems to be a big hurdle for both City and Chelsea to cross.

Lukaku, 28, is an experienced player and has had the experience of playing in England before moving to Italy. The only thing that could come between Lukaku and City is the fact that the 28-year-old was a former Manchester United player.

Though many sources have understood that Lukaku’s stint with the Red Devils will not be a problem, it remains to be seen if that is really is the case.

Having said that, Lautaro Martinez for £80 million would be a much better option as the Argentine is still very young at 23-years-old.

Martinez has got a long way to go ahead of him and has the potential to be one for the future.

Should City pursue Harry Kane or should they go for Lukaku?
