Manchester City transfer target makes a massive decision about his future
Last summer when Lionel Messi made the decision to leave Barcelona, Manchester City were declared as the favorites to sign the world’s arguably best ever.
Messi, 33, is yet to sign a new contract with FC Barcelona but recent reports from Express suggest that the Argentine is on his way to finish off his professional career in Spain.

Newly-elected club president Joan Laporta made it clear that his intentions were to extend Messi’s stay at the Camp Nou.
It is understood that Laporta has some great ambitions for Barcelona and the idea of having a prospective sporting project in place has lured Messi into staying.
After the devastating 8-2 defeat against Bayern Munich last season, it was clear that some massive changes were needed at Barcelona and the fact that the team was about to enter a phase of transition.
Naturally, the Blaugrana made a slow start to their La Liga campaign but soon caught up with an impressive 19-game unbeaten run to only fail to land a decisive blow in the final weeks of the La Liga.
Having said that, Messi is very close to agreeing to an extension at Barcelona, thus ending the rumors of a possible move to either Manchester City or Paris Saint-Germain.
The Blaugrana won the Copa Del Rey this season after an inspiring comeback against Sevilla after being 0-2 down in the first leg. In a season where the former La Liga Champions were expected to go trophyless, the Spanish giants returned with an unlikely Copa Del Rey cup. Moreover, leading up to the final few weeks of their La Liga campaign, Barcelona had their La Liga title hopes in their own hands.
The 33-year-old has likely realized that the current Barcelona team, though still very off from the Blaugrana we are used to seeing, has got a very bright future.
Manchester City can now focus on singing Erling Haaland now that the Messi links have died down. Haaland, 20, is one of the best prospects in European football and he is a prime candidate to replace the Barcelona-bound Sergio Aguero this summer.
The Cityzens however, have also been closely linked with Harry Kane with the Englishman favoring a move away from Tottenham this summer.
Who do you want to lead the Manchester City attack? Kane or Haaland?
