Major transfer boost for Manchester City as key target willing to force a move this summer
With Sergio Aguero all set to leave the club this summer, it is natural to assume that Manchester City will be on the market for a striker capable of emulating Aguero’s feats at Manchester City.
For long, Harry Kane has been linked with a move to the Etihad Stadium due to the silverware drought at Tottenham Hotspur. Spurs last won a trophy back in 2008.

Recently, Harry Kane mentioned in an interview that his ultimate goal is to win team trophies, something that isn’t happening at Tottenham. The Lillywhites bottled yet another season after a promising season.
Come November, the team was in a fantastic position and for the first time in a very long time, Spurs looked capable of challenging for the Premier League title. However, disastrous runs in the months of December and January meant that the best chances for securing silverware for them were in the Carabao Cup final against Manchester City and the Europa League.
In the Europa League, Spurs bottled and choked fantastically as they let slip a 2-0 lead against Dinamo Zagreb in the RO16.
In the Carabao Cup final, the Cityzens dominated for the entire duration of the game before winning it eventually 1-0.
In short, Tottenham’s 2020/21 season has been just another case of ‘Could be’.
Metro understands that Tottenham’s best player and prized asset in Harry Kane has told Daniel Levy, the chairman of Tottenham that he wants an exit this summer.
This comes in the light of the recent performances put in by the team and as it stands, Tottenham won’t be playing European football next season.
It is understood that Tottenham do not want to part ways with Kane, especially since his contract only expires in 2024. The club, however, has been left with no choice after learning the player’s wishes.
An asking price in the range of £150 million for the 27-year-old is likely to be demanded, who is looking to continue in the Premier League for the next phase of his career.
Chelsea and Manchester United are also said to be monitoring the situation and by the looks of it, it looks like it is going to be a three-way race to sign the Englishman.
United could use Antony Martial or Jesse Lingard in the deal and that would certainly make things easier for the Red Devils.
Chelsea have the option of using Tammy Abraham in the deal but realistically speaking, Kane has the best chance at collecting silverware on a consistent basis at Manchester City, playing under the guidance of Pep Guardiola.
