Jack Grealish was having the best season of his career until an injury forced him to sit out of the action from mid-February. The Englishman has been in fine form off-late and has been linked with a move away from Aston Villa this summer, just like last summer. Either Manchester City or rivals Manchester United are said to be among the next probable destinations for the 25-year-old.

More from Man City Transfer Rumors

Last summer, Grealish was linked with a move to Manchester City but the deal never really took off due to the financial impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The financial situation of clubs across Europe is much better this time around and it seems that the former Premier League champions are ready to land the midfield prospect.

It is understood that Jack Grealish is set to remain at Aston Villa if one goes by the terms of his contract. Consequently, Aston Villa don’t want to part ways with their skipper so easily and have slapped a price tag in the range of £100 million on the back of the attacking midfielder.

Four Four Two understands that Manchester City are looking to launch bids for Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish and West Ham United’s Declan Rice this summer.

Jack Grealis could be looked upon as the long-term successor of Kevin De Bruyne at City while Rice, who has been the key in the Hammers’ near-successful season this time around. The defensive midfielder from West Ham is being looked upon as the long-term replacement for Fernandinho, whose contract will expire at the end of this season.

Declan Rice is set to remain at West Ham until 2024 as per his contract. Last summer, the 22-year-old was heavily linked with a move to Chelsea but the deal could not go through.

Rivals Manchester United have also been linked with the 22-year-old and it will be interesting to see how it pans out this summer as both City and United are in the race to land Erling Haaland as well.
