Manchester City superstar being watched by Spanish giants
Raheem Sterling has been a subject of discussion lately. In recent weeks, the Englishman’s casual approach has made him realize that he is no longer considered untouchable at Manchester City as he is being kept on the bench as and when manager Pep Guardiola deems it fit.
Sterling has looked off-color this season and could well be on his way out this summer.

Caught Offside understands that Real Madrid are interested in the 26-year-old, given his current situation at the Etihad Stadium.
Though no asking price has been revealed yet, Sterling hasn’t signed a contract extension with the former Premier League Champions yet and that could be a factor. The 26-year-old’s career received a lifeline following a move to Manchester City from Liverpool, back in 2015.
The Englishman is unlikely to leave this summer though. The 26-year-old would likely be given another season to prove his worth before being offloaded.
Sterling is a quality player but isn’t world-class, yet. The 26-year-old has shown that there is room for improvement in his game, especially when it comes to keeping composure in the final third. Raheem Sterling has been warming the bench recently, especially in the big games, and no doubt that the winger would be eager for a comeback.
Sterling though has the ability to succeed in Spain and with his pace, he has the potential to tear down defenses. With the number of chances that the current Los Blancos XI creates, the midfield could feed him a lot of through balls into open spaces. Moreover, he would be competing with Vinicius Jr., and that would be good for the reigning La Liga champions.
City might consider this rumored transfer as Erling Haaland is said to be on top of their priority list. The Norwegian striker is one of the better prospects in European football currently and is a long-term option for any club that he decides to go to. The 20-year-old looks ready to move to the Premier League and would be a welcome addition to the Sky Blues.
With Sergio Aguero set to leave the club at the end of this season, do you think Haaland can emulate Aguero’s feats?
