Manchester City looking to beat Real Madrid in the race to sign Serie A goal machine
Manchester City have been heavily linked with Erling Haaland in the recent past and more so, ever since Sergio Aguero decided to call it quits on his time at Manchester City. This summer window will be a tough one for the former Premier League champions as Haaland is expected to cost around £150 million and so is Harry Kane, who is also linked with a move to the Etihad Stadium.

It is clear that a striker is the need of the hour at Manchester City ahead of the next season but it is highly unlikely that the Cityzens would spend £150 million on a single player. Having said that, GiveMeSport understands that the Cityzens are now monitoring the extremely impressive Serbian and Serie A talent, Dusan Vlahovic.
The 21-year-old has managed to find the net 16 times this season while also recording 3 assists from just 31 appearances. It is clear that he has got a lot of talent and will be a player to watch out for in the future.
Fiorentina are likely to be tempted to let their top scorer depart this summer, should a suitable offer arrive. It is understood that a sum close to £45 million may be required to land the Serbian.
The attractive prospect is also on the radar of Real Madrid. The Los Blancos have also been linked with Erling Haaland for this summer.
Manchester City should do their level best to land Erling Haaland this summer but in the event that it fails to happen, there are many other cheaper yet reliable alternatives to the Norwegian striker. Danny Ings, Lautaro Martinez, Dusan Vlahovic are some of the cheaper alternatives. The Sky Blues could also explore the option of landing Kelechi Iheanacho of Leicester City.
With a busy summer window coming up, who do you think City must sign and why?
