The 32-year-old will walk out as a free agent at the end of this season, after spending a decade at the Etihad Stadium. Having said that, Manchester City are said to enter the transfer market for a premium striker. The likes of Erling Haaland and Harry Kane have been heavily linked with a move to the Etihad and now Sport Witness understands that the former Premier League champions are looking to enter the race to land Kylian Mbappe this summer.
Real Madrid and Liverpool are also said to be interested in landing the 22-year-old. For now, Real Madrid are the favorites to secure Mbappe’s signature as the Los Blancos boss Zinedine Zidane has admitted that the Frenchman’s dream is to play for Real Madrid. Moreover, Mbappe hasn’t yet penned down an extension with the Parisians though it is reported to be a short extension to keep him at the club until 2024.
His teammate and close friend in Neymar Jr. is said to be very close to agreeing to a contract extension and that might play a part in Mbappe’s decision making for the seasons to come.
If Paris Saint-Germain decide to not sell him this summer, they will risk losing a player of Mbappe’s quality for no return. The Parisians are expected to demand a fee in the range of 120-150 million euros to part ways with the 22-year-old.
Manchester City are also in the race for Erling Haaland as the Norwegian striker continues to be heavily linked with a move to the Etihad Stadium. The 20-year-old is one of the brighter talents in Europe and is certainly a player to watch out for, in the future.
The Cityzens will need to spend around £150 million to land the Borussia Dortmund superstar and only time will tell if the former Premier League champions decide to spend that big an amount on a single player.
