Manchester City superstar on the wishlist of European rivals
Sergio Aguero has been the greatest player in Manchester City’s history this last decade. The 32-year-old will always be fondly remembered for his iconic last-minute goal against Queens Park Rangers in the final matchday of the 2012 Premier League season which gave Manchester City their first-ever Premier League title in 54 years.

Injuries and illness have marred the ongoing season for the Argentine striker who has only managed to find the net thrice this season. Having said that, Aguero has been linked with a series of names this summer as the 32-year-old is now ready to embark on a new challenge. Chelsea, Arsenal, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain, and Barcelona are some of the top clubs that Aguero has been linked with.
CaughtOffside understands that the 32-year-old’s representatives have apparently arrived in Barcelona amidst rumors surrounding a possible transfer this summer.
The Blaugrana has been lacking a proper finisher ever since Luis Suarez left the club last summer and landing Aguero would be highly beneficial for the former La Liga champions. Aguero still remains one of the deadliest finishers in European football and with the number of chances that Barcelona creates, one can only assume that it’s a match made in heaven.
Apart from having a proper finisher at the club, Barcelona would want to land Aguero in a bid to convince Lionel Messi to stay at the club. Messi and Aguero share a very intimate relationship and the 320+-year-old’s possible arrival could play a huge role in Barcelona’s hopes of convincing Lionel Messi to stay at the club.
It was only announced last month that the former Premier League champions would be parting ways with their record goal-scorer. It is going to be very difficult for the Sky Blues to replace Aguero and the Cityzens have consequently been linked with the likes of Harry Kane and Erling Haaland this summer. It still remains to be seen if the six-time Premier League champions would want to spend heavily on a single player this summer.
