Sergio Aguero and Manchester City are set to part ways after a decade. The 32-year-old has established himself as one of the deadliest strikers of the game during his stay at the Etihad Stadium and is the record goal-scorer for the former Premier League champions. Aguero is certainly a club legend and with him, all set to depart as a free agent. it is no surprise that the Cityzens are looking at options to replace their talisman.

More from Man City Transfer Rumors

Todofichajes understands that City are closely monitoring the situation of Joao Felix at Atletico Madrid who has looked seemingly unsettled under Diego Simeone this season. The Portuguese’s inability to convince his manager about his abilities could mean that he might be up for a switch this summer.

Joao Felix is still the record transfer for Rojiblancos who spent €126 million to bring him in from Benfica. Keeping the current financial situation in mind though, the transfer fee for the 21-year-old may be down to €90 million. Now, this would play right into the court of the former Premier League champions who aren’t looking to spend £100 million on a single player this summer.

Of course, it still remains to be known if Atletico Madrid have indeed given up on the 21-year-old who, despite his inability to hit the ground running at his current club, still remains one of the better prospects in European football.

Having said that, it is highly unlikely that the current La Liga league leaders would want to part ways with Felix without giving him another season, given that he w\is the fourth-most expensive transfer in football.

City though, will need to decide if they are still in the game for Harry Kane and Erling Haaland who are expected to cost in excess of £100 million. The asking price for Harry Kane may touch £150 million while that for Haaland may go up to £180 million.

It is not going to be an easy summer market for the Sky Blues as if Felix is put on the market, other big clubs would want to be a part of the race too and the asking fee may go up.
