Manchester City identify Premier League goal-machine as Aguero’s successor
The contract situation of Sergio Aguero at Manchester City is one highly unfortunate case. The 32-year-old is the record goal-scorer for Manchester City and by all means, is a club legend.
The Argentine though is in the final year of his contract and looks all set to leave the club at the end of this season as a free agent. Barcelona have been named as the favorites to sign him. Having said that, Erling Haaland has been linked with a move to the Etihad Stadium and the links appear to be getting stronger with each passing day.

The only stumbling block for City, as understood by Sky Sports is the massive asking price of Dortmund for Haaland. The asking price for the 20-year-old is said to be in the range of £100 million but that sum could go up to £150 million, given that the likes of Chelsea, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Manchester United, and Barcelona are also in the race. In light of that, the Cityzens are also said to be keeping a close eye on Danny Ings.
The Englishman’s return to form in the last season has worked wonders for the 28-year-old. The Southampton striker has carried his form into this season as well. He has found the net eight times this season and is among the top 20 goal-scorers this season.
Ings is a cheaper alternative for Manchester City. Erling Haaland however, is likely to remain a top priority for Manchester City and their plans for the future.
Harry Kane is another big name that has been linked with a move to the Etihad Stadium this summer. With Tottenham unlikely to play European football next season, Kane’s departure looks imminent. It is believed that Daniel Levy has come to terms with Kane possibly leaving the club at the end of this season. The asking price for the Englishman though is not going to be a small one and is believed to be in the range of £100 million as well.
