It is no secret that Manchester City have been in the market for quite some time now for a quality goal-scorer cum finisher. Erling Braut Haaland fits the bill perfectly and the Cityzens have been keeping an eye on him for quite some time now.

More from Man City Transfer Rumors

German news outlet BILD reports that Borussia Dortmund have slapped a €150 million price tag on Haaland’s back. Manchester City aren’t the only ones interested in the 20-year-old, though. The likes of Real Madrid, Chelsea, Manchester United, Bayern Munich, and Barcelona are all said to be in the race to land the Norwegian striker.

There is a release clause in Haaland’s contract worth £65 million but that only gets activated in 2022. The teams interested in the striker aren’t likely to wait for another season as Haaland’s form hasn’t shown signs of a dip ever since he arrived from Salzburg.

Coming to Manchester City, a quality striker is the need of the hour as Sergio Aguero’s future continue to be up for speculation. The Argentine hasn’t yet signed an extension with the club and it is highly unlikely that he will end up staying for another season, given his recent run with injuries in the past year and a half.
Gabriel Jesus was touted to be the one to take over the goal-scoring duties from the 32-year-old but the Brazilian has been less than convincing this season, though he has improved a lot from the initial slump that he endured in the early part of this season.
