Manchester City in the lead to land Bundesliga superstar
Manchester City are among the many names linked to Erling Braut Haaland. The former Premier League champions are in need of a striker as their premier goal-scorer in Sergio Aguero hasn’t yet renewed his contract and it is highly unlikely that he will.

Goal understands that Manchester City are ahead of their competition in Real Madrid, Chelsea, and rivals United in the race to sign Haaland.
Haaland, 20, recently became the fastest player to net 20 UEFA Champions League goals and checks all the boxes to flourish in the Premier League.
The likes of Bayern and Real Madrid are linked to the starlet as well but it is highly unlikely that Haaland is going to continue playing in the Bundesliga. Current La Liga champions Real Madrid have struggled in the absence of a consistent goal-scorer ever since Cristiano Ronaldo left the club.
Joan Laporta was recently appointed as the new president of Barcelona and it is believed that signing Haaland is a top priority for him. In simple words, Barcelona have entered the frame as well.
Landing Haaland is not going to be easy. If the Cityzens are to land the Norwegian striker this summer, a bidding war will take place even though a release clause worth £65 million in Haaland’s contract comes into effect in 2022.
Goal understands that City have contacted Mino Raiola, who is willing to negotiate, even though he has had differences with manager Pep Guardiola in the past.
Borussia Dortmund can expect a selling price in the range of £100 million for the leading goal-scorer this season. Moreover, the German side is expected to part ways with Jadon Sancho as well, who is tipped with a move to the cross-town rivals. All in all, it is going to be a very busy summer window for the Sky Blues.
