Manchester City ready to push for £100m-rated striker this summer
Manchester City have been on the hunt for a striker in the recent past. Sergio Aguero has been in and out of the side owing to recurrent injuries and illness. Gabriel Jesus, though he has improved off late, he failed to step up in the Argentine’s absence in the early part of the season.

It is no secret that Erling Braut Haaland has been linked with a move away from Dortmund at the end of this season and among the clubs that can afford the Norwegian, four of them are in the Premier League. Manchester City are said to be one of them and in the light of this, Mirror understands that the former Premier League champions are ready to push for Haaland this summer.
Haaland, 20, has already established himself as one of the topmost strikers in European football, having a stellar record of 43 goals from 44 appearances for the German side. This season, the Norwegian has found the net eight times from just five outings in the UEFA Champions League and the striker’s rapid growth is enough to convince the Sky Blues to push for a deal this summer.
It is believed that Borussia Dortmund will demand a fee in the range of £100 million for their premier striker. Though a release clause worth £65 million in the player’s contract comes into effect next summer, Dortmund are likely to listen to offers that are going to come their way this summer or will risk losing the 20-year-old for far less next summer. Keeping in mind the financial impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Dortmund wouldn’t want the opportunity to get a huge sum for one of their premier players slip away.
Mino Raiola, Haaland’s agent is believed to have strianed relations with City boss, Pep Guardiola after the two engaged in a war of words over Raiola’s client, Zlatan Ibhrahimovic’s treatment by the Spaniard during the Swede’s two-year stint at the Camp Nou.
City officials believe that the past will have no bearing in the outcome of the deal.
The Sky Blues are currently bossing the Premier League and already one-foot deep in their quest to reclaim the title.
With the team looking quite solid, a quadruple is surely on the cards as manager Pep Guardiola continues his hunt for his first ever UEFA Champions League title since he left Barcelona.
