It is no secret that Erling Haaland has been linked with a move to some of the top clubs in world football. The likes of Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Real Madrid, and Barcelona are all monitoring the progress of the 20-year-old. Widely regarded as one of the topmost strikers in European football, the Norweigan striker’s finishing skills are second to none.

More from Man City Transfer Rumors

With 43 goals from as many appearances, Erling Haaland is a goal-machine in all aspects and has shown that he is a big match player. The 20-year-old has found the net 10 times from just 7 appearances in the UEFA Champions League.

With him being linked to almost all the topmost clubs in Europe, Mirror understands that Haaland has laid out his first set of demands to the clubs interested in luring him. The striker wants a bumper deal worth £78 million over the course of the next five years.

It has become clear for the clubs that are interested in the Dortmund star.

It is believed that a sum in the range of £100 million will be needed to convince Dortmund to let go of their star striker. There is, however, an outside chance that clubs interested including the CItyzens might want to wait until 2022 because of a release clause worth £68 million that would be activated in the player’s contract. Having said that, it is highly unlikely that Dortmund would not sell Haaland for a fee of around £100 million, should suitable offers arrive this summer.

Manchester City may well be on their way to make a move for Haaland this summer, given that Aguero is in the final year of his contract and the likeliness of him renewing his contract with the club for another season is decreasing with each passing day. Neither the club nor the player have given any indications about a possible renewal and it’ll be interesting to see what the former Premier League champions decide with respect to their all-time record goal-scorer.

Coming to Haaland, it might boil down to a race between the clubs interested in the player’s signature and the club that would present the most lucrative offer will get to land one of the top prospects in Europe.
